Impact of Mental Real-Of-State Programs to Youth in East Africa.

Mental Real-Of-State has supported positive mindset among teenage girls in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania by donating sanitary towels and stationery, effectively creating an enabling environment for them to concentrate and pursue their dreams and aspirations

By promoting understanding, empathy, and acceptance, Mental Real-Of-State has partnered with institutions of learning to combat period shame and create a more inclusive and supportive environment for individuals that experience menstruation.

Beyond issuance of sanitary towels, actual forums have featured education about the importance of menstrual health, dispelling myths and misconceptions such as female genital mutilation, encouraging open destigmatization conversations, supporting the creation of safe spaces where individuals can share their experiences and seek support without fear of judgement. Hitherto, Mental Real-Of-State has donated more than 300 story books comprising of fiction, non-fiction, educational, and children’s books to promote a culture of literacy among community members. Overall, these donation initiatives have had a positive impact on the community by addressing essential needs and promoting access to education and enhancing the development of a positive mindset.

On 22nd March 2022, the Mental Real-Of-State conducted community awards at Nyamira County.
The event brought together participants from various social sectors ranging from education, health, administration and faith based organizations. The aim of the occasion was to recognize and reward individuals that have been doing major work towards transforming lives in their respective communities.
